1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluoro-1-octanol is an important fluorinated chemical. Its polymer has excellent oil and water resistance. It is an important intermediate for the production of surface protective agents. It is widely used in textiles and coatings. And fluorinated surfactants led the Chemicalbook domain. However, perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) is difficult to be excreted because of its bioaccumulation and persistence, and (meth) acrylic acid esters or polymers containing perfluorooctyl (C8) undergo decomposition and oxidation, and finally generate PFOA .
